1. Who holds your money
Customer advances and performance fees are typically paid directly to the vendor. IndiaBandBooking does not usually hold customer performance payments in escrow unless a specific product feature says otherwise.
Vendor subscription fees paid to IndiaBandBooking (if any) are separate from customer→vendor performance payments.
2. When a booking is confirmed
A booking is not confirmed merely because you chatted on WhatsApp. Confirmation follows the platform status after the required advance proof is submitted and verified, subject to vendor acceptance rules shown in the product.
3. Cancellations by customers
Refund eligibility for advances depends on the vendor’s stated cancellation and refund policy, the timing relative to the event date, and whether the vendor has already committed costs (travel, musicians, instruments, permits).
Request cancellations through the booking flow or support so there is a clear record. Vendors should respond promptly with the refund decision and method.
4. Cancellations by vendors
If a vendor cancels after accepting a booking and receiving a verified advance, the vendor should refund the advance according to their policy and fair marketplace practice, unless a mutually agreed alternative date or replacement is accepted by the customer.
Repeated unjustified cancellations may lead to reduced visibility or removal from IndiaBandBooking.
5. Disputes
If customer and vendor disagree about a refund, contact IndiaBandBooking support with booking ID, payment proof, and chat context. We may mediate using platform records, but we are not a court or arbitrator, and outcomes may still require the parties to settle directly.
6. Subscription fees
Paid vendor plans are generally non-refundable once the billing period has started, except where required by law or where IndiaBandBooking cancels the service for reasons not caused by the vendor.
